Enormous diversity in the Earth’s waters
The value is honor, and we’ll be learning to appreciate the diversity of life in the oceans and on in people.
For cooking, we’ll try poi.
Outside, we’ll begin to understand negative space with shapes in the sand.
The songs we’ll be singing are Three Little Fishes, Row Your Boat, Down by the Bay, Five Little Speckled Frogs, and She Waded in the Water.
For creative dramatics, we’ll practice moving like an octopus and like a jellyfish.
Our art activities are fish print, tropical fish puzzles, glued shells, aquariums, and paper plate fish.
For motor development, we’ll work on strength by duck walks, crab walks, side leg lifts, and pushups. For motor planning we’ll arrange ourselves into groups, play scrambled eggs, walk backwards, and be statues.
