Topic: Oceans
Understanding the seas as powerful forces.
The value we’ll be studying is peace and how to be peaceful with our friends in the classroom.
For science, we’ll be studying wind and water power.
Outside, we’ll siphon and learn the hula.
The songs we’ll be singing are Three Little Fishes; Row, Row, Row Your Boat; Puff, the Magic Dragon; Down by the Bay; and Five Little Speckled Frogs.
For creative dramatics, we’ll pretend to be a sea creature.
Our art activities will be paper plate crabs, man-o-war, octopus, tapa cloth, and tissue paper leis.
For motor development, we’ll be working on flexibility with tinekling and crab walks. For vestibular function, we’ll play leap frog and pogo stick.
