SHOW AND TELL

Bring some cool papers (like

wrapping paper, nice stationary,

etc.) to make a “quilt”.

Topic: Colonial Times

What was it like to live in the 1700’s?

The value we’ll be studying is courage to deal with things that are scary, difficult, or painful.

For safety, we’ll learn how to take care of ourselves.

Outside, we’ll run with hoops.

The songs we’ll be singing are Star Spangled Banner, America the Beautiful, Yankee Doodle, Camptown Races, You’re a Grand Old Flag, and Polly Wolly Doodle.

For creative dramatics, we’ll practice safety scenarios.

Our art activities will be quilting, silhou-ettes, apple faces, weaving, and wind socks.

For motor development we’ll work on stamina with dancing and jell-o. For motor planning, we’ll follow the leader, walk an obstacle course, play hopscotch, and learn swimming strokes.
