Learn about life in Colonial America
The value we’ll be studying is courage, which is to be willing to deal with difficult, painful, or dangerous things.
For safety, we’ll learn how to be brave when we feel scared, when we’re lost, or when we just need to yell and scream.
Outside, we’ll play with hoops and horseshoes.
The songs we’ll be singing are Star Spangled Banner, America the Beautiful, Yankee Doodle, You’re a Grand Old Flag, Camptown Races, and Polly Wolly Doodle.
For creative dramatics, we’ll practice how we’ll handle our safety situations.
Our art activities are quilting, silhouettes, apple faces, cross-stitch samplers, and peek-a-boo pictures.
For motor development we’ll work on stamina with dance freeze and jello. For motor planning, we’ll do swimming exercises, follow the leader, obstacle course, and hopscotch.
