SHOW AND TELL

Bring a feather.

Topic: Birds

Learn how feathered creatures

are adapted to their habitats.

The value we’ll be studying is wisdom, which is the power to judge rightly.

For science, we’ll make rainbows.

Outside, we’ll learn to play “hot and cold”.

The songs we’ll be singing are Do/Re/Mi, Zippity-do-dah, He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands, Down by the Bay, Bluebird, and Where is Thumbkin?

For creative dramatics, we’ll act out the Indian legend Eagles’ Nest.

Our art activities will be nature collage, bird nest puppets, amate paper painting, and bird in a nest.

For motor development, we’ll work on flexibility with yoga poses. For motor planning, we’ll be body crayons, follow musical beats, and copy the leader’s movements.
