Learn about life in the Old West
The value we’ll be studying is self-reliance, which is confidence in your own ability. We’ll be thinking about the difference in good judgment and bad judgment.
For cooking, we’ll use apples in lots of different ways.
Outside, we’ll play hide and seek.
The songs we’ll be singing are Clementine, She’ll Be Coming Around the Mountain, Skip to My Lou, Michael Finnegan, O What a Beautiful Morning, and Oh, Susanna.
For creative dramatics, we’ll be wonder what pioneer children did all day.
Our art activities will be apple prints, covered wagons, and junk sculptures.
For motor development, we’ll work on balance, walking backwards and walking carrying water. For postural response, we’ll play ball pass over & under, kick a suspended ball, and work on balance beam obstacles.
