SHOW AND TELL

Bring a thing you might want to pack for a long trip.

Topic: Pioneers

We’ll learn about life 200 years ago.

The value we’ll be studying is self-reliance, which means to have confidence in our own abilities and judgment.

For cooking, we’ll make applesauce and butter.

Outside, we’ll learn about pioneer games.

The songs we’ll be singing are Clementine, She’ll Be Coming Round the Mountain, Skip to My Lou, Michael Finnegan, Oh Susanna, and Oh What a Beautiful Morning.

For creative dramatics, we’ll play “grandmother’s trunk”.

Our art activities will be candles, junk sculpture, yarn dolls, glass bowls, covered wagon, and button on a string.

For motor development we’ll work on coordination with cartwheels and back rolls. For postural response, we’ll pass balls, kick the pin, and walk the ball with our partners.
