SHOW AND TELL

Bring a beautiful thing made by a person. It’s okay to think outside the box – what about a nice piece of crochet or a carved stone?

Topic: Art

Everything beautiful made by a person is art.

The value we’ll be studying is joy, which is a very glad feeling.

For safety we’ll study about how it’s better for us to stay with a group.

Outside, we’ll experiment with changing our painting by spraying it with water.

The songs we’ll be singing are Today, A Little Red Box, Yellow Rose of Texas, Five Little Speckled Frogs, Tomorrow, and Ain’t It Great To Be Crazy?

For creative dramatics, we’ll paint what feelings look like.

Our art activities are pictures from lines, pointillism picture, starry night wands, crayon resist, Picasso cubism, and Matisse collage.

For motor development, we’ll work on flexibility, breathing, and relaxation with yoga poses. For motor planning, we’ll play hula hoop pass, kid connections, beanbag play, and glued down.
