SHOW AND TELL
Bring a big thing and a little thing.
Enormous diversity of insects
The value we’ll be studying is humility, which means not boasting or making yourself more important than others.
For cooking, we’ll make dried apples, cheese toast, and pretzel butterflies.
Outside, we’ll take care not to harm our insect neighbors.
The songs we’ll be singing are The Ants Go Marching, Shoo Fly, Let There Be Peace on Earth, We Shall Overcome, and Itsy, Bitsy Spider.
For creative dramatics, we’ll go on a bug hunt.
Our art activities are ladybug life cycle, pinch-pug magnets, tissue paper butterfly, and circle caterpillars.
For motor development we’ll work on coordination with insect movements (daddy longlegs?). For bilaterality, we’ll do moon walks, play popcorn, and walk like a camel
